NEW YORK MUSEUM GOES TO THE DOGS!

William Wegman, an artist who my human mom said made Weimy's famous, has an art exhibit at a NYC museum. I think Sam I Am and I should pose for him. After all, we are famous bloggers. *sticks tongue out*

Here is a link to the article about Mr Wegmans exhibit.

I would love to see an artist pose all sorts of dogs (and maybe even cats), I think that would be pretty neat. Maybe a calendar of doggie bloggers!!! "Bloggin' Dogs 2007" !
Here is the picture I will submit for December 2007, cause I am just so darn cute! This is my dads old recliner - mom keeps threatening to throw it out. But I like to sleep in it.

A lot of people see Mr. Wegmans pictures and think that Weims are easy pets. But that is not entirely true. We need a lot of exercise, attention and love. I hope people research more about our breed before they just go get a Weim. My Mom said a lot of Weimys end up in rescue organizations and foster homes because people didnt know what they were getting into when they got one of us. I also think that is the case with most pets. I watch my mom as she looks through Petfinder.org and I see lots of cats and dogs that need homes. I hope more people stop and think about the long term commitment they are making when they bring one of us (yes even cats) home.

My Brother Cooper: The Super Hero-Dog

Today I learned that my older brother, Cooper, is a superhero!!!
Cooper was born in June, 2005. I have never met him yet, but his human mom sent pictures of him for me and my human mom to see. And guess what we discovered? Not only is he gorgeous (like me) but he is also...... a Super Dog! My very own big brother is a super hero!
Here is a picture of my brother Cooper in his costume:
And they also sent us a picture of Cooper being brave and attacking this aweful snow monster...
I bet we have a little super hero-dog in all of us!

Certificate of Pedigree

My Mom said that family is important, whether its your adopted family or your birth family.
I am very happy that I have heard from my older brother Cooper, my littermate sister Bella and my littermate brother Gunner. It makes me happy to know that they are doing well. I would like to start an online photo album where I can keep and show pictures of my birth family and my adopted family. If any of my doggie blog friends have a suggestion as to a good photo album site, please let me know. Thanks!

My Mom sent in my AKC registration papers and got this nifty Certificate of Pedigree which shows who my ancestors are. I really like it, its is kinda like a family tree.

But regardless ... if you are not able to research your family through the AKC, or if you are a human and cannot trace your ancestors cause you were adopted, the important part is that the family you are with now. They are the building blocks, the foundation... of your family. Love your Mom and Dad, love your sisters and brothers - because chew toys, neighborhood dogs and kitties, they all come and go... but your family is forever.
